 Gillian’s Riding School was established in 1964 and we are an A.B.R.S. approved establishment. We run a friendly family business with over 40 years experience.
We provide individual or group lessons from beginners learning just for fun, to career training (N.V.Q. B.H.S. & ABRS exam training).
We also provide escorted off road hacking for our more experienced riders around Whitewebbs woods, and we even arrange trips to the beach!
We are a Pony Club centre and encourage our members to learn horse care and hopefully achieve badges and test certificates. We held our very first Pony Club Camp in the summer holidays 2006 and our Pony Club Quiz team made the Finals and came 3rd!!!! 
Beginners
Suitable for adults and children who have never ridden or learning basic control in walk & trot Once you have mastered the basics in the beginners class you will be moved up by your instructor to intermediate level.
Intermediate
How to canter and control your horse competently, learning school shapes and simple training exercises. Some use of pole work.
Advanced
More advanced school movements, lateral work such a leg yield. Learning basic jumping teqniques

You could get the opportunity to be chosen to ride in the Display team! Or even get to dressage or Show Jumping competitions. Our more experienced riders are encouraged to compete in local and regional competition; these are great fun days out!
